Sam holds a Master’s in Library and Information Science with a concentration in Research Data Management and a Bachelor’s in English Literature.

She has worked across libraries, government agencies, bookstores, and writing centers, always guided by a passion for connecting people with the resources they need and committed to making information open, inclusive, and sustainable.

Her research interests include metadata ethics, inclusive cataloging, and advocating for ethical, user-centered approaches to metadata creation and discovery.

Her published work explores how emerging technologies intersect with late capitalism and critically examining the commodification of information.
